Akai MPC

Akai MPC’s, formerly known as MIDI Production Centers but now known as Music Production Centers are an admired and highly valued series of electronic musical instruments. The purposes of these units were to act as a type of powerful drum machine, also including a powerful MIDI sequencer with the capability to sample your own sounds. Later on models attribute ever powerful sampling, interfacing, sound manipulation facilities, and storage. These aspects expand the use of this instrument afar from only rhythm and drum tracks.

MPC’s are the unchallenged standard in live beat, studio and track creation. With velocity-sensing pads incorporating expressive pressure, an all-inclusive compliment of conveyable tactile controls, sampling, effects and very prevailing sequencing, with an MPC, track production has never felt so good. Not only do the MPC’s come with marvelous physical features, but also has a really fine operating system too.

Lately, Akai has recently released the most advanced MPC of all time. Called the MPC 5000, it boasts a newly engineered effects engine, turntable preamp, 64-track ongoing sampling, and high-resolution sequencing engine. It also packs in a turntable preamp, an awesome entirely new virtual analog synth, cycle-sample playback, a whopping 650MB of premium sounds, up to 192 MB of memory and lastly an eight-track direct-to-disk recorder. You can create your very own samples and music, and then attach other sources, series, mix, edit and finally exhibit your song using the MPC 5000. Get ready for more potential, more power, and more interaction at your fingertips of every beat and music producer.

Akai Pro has also done a wonderful job by releasing a new Operating System (OS) for every current MPC. Furthermore Akai has finally released the MPC 5000 OS 2.0 recently. The best part about it, is that it is a free, new operating system upgrade that comes with more than 25 additional improvements, most of which have been requested by everyday MPC 5000 users. So what are you waiting for? If you don’t own one already, get your hands on an MPC as fast as you can, and start tweaking your own music now!
